Breath Easy and Singing for Breathing sing onto film

Today saw the return of the mobile dark room this time to the Royal Brompton Hospital where we were delighted to welcome members of the Breath Easy Group and the Singing for Breathing Group to record their breath onto photographic film as part of the Breathe Project.  A steady flow of breathers started arriving at 11 and by 12 the room was filled with enthusiastic breathers who generously entered the tent to record a diverse range of breath carried sounds and gestures from my own favourite the Blaydon races to a whistle and to a spur-of-the-moment composition inspired by the Mikado- all very unique and spontaneous contributions to the project which I look forward to seeing when I develop the film early next week. I’ll post the images once I’ve developed them and look forward to exploring ways of exhibiting them in my meeting with George Mogg later this week.
